Beautifully told stories by the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tagore, the poet, essayist, and composer, was friends with Albert Einstein. Written originally in Bengali and translated into English, this collection of short stories are delightful and moving. Tagore provides us with moral sentiments, but without being overly moralizing.
