Susie starts off today's show with a look at the evolution of an STD. As it turns out, sexually transmitted diseases are nothing new; they've been around since...forever. A new study from the University of Wisconsin shows that genomic strains of Herpes can be traced back 15,000 years. Susie loves this scientific stuff, and she lays out how these researchers followed Herpes around the world to explain its longevity and migration.

Next, are you up for a little kissing? A recent New York Times article says "a kiss isn't just a kiss." Another interesting study reveals that kissing has many functions, and sexual arousal is not the number-one driver for why we smooch. Think more primitive: it's done more to see if a person might become an ideal mate. After couples are established, kissing serves as a bonding device, to stay connected. Susie reveals much about her own kissing likes and dislikes.

Finally, in Susie's "What's New on Audible" segment, an audiobook that will really touch your heart (as well as your groin). It's Testosterone Files: My Hormonal and Social Transformation from Female to Male by Max Valerio. This book chronicles the journey of a lesbian who changes into a heterosexual man. Wow!
