There was just no way for me to pretend he didn't want it, and even though he didn't pressure me at all, I couldn't even conceive of there being something he desired that I didn't at least try to give. So, I got myself all doled up, arranged for a sitter, and met him when he got home from work. In the end, I couldn't believe how incredible it was.
