Boston… Summer… 1989. Vincent McAllister, the manager of a Blockbuster Video store and a hardcore horror movie savant, wants to be a famous writer, but the rejection slips start to pile up. Being told in the letters his style lacks “realism,” Vincent decides maybe he needs to “practice what he preaches” and unleashes a killing spree on the city. His clues left at the scene and the methods of the killings taken from classic horror films. Stumped by the clues, two Boston detectives and a disgraced ex-Red Sox player team up to try and stop the murders and find the killer.
